Monetary Units: 1 Yugoslav dinar = 100 paras. In 1967, the New Yugoslav dinar replaced the original dinar at the rate of 1 new Yugoslav dinar (Din) = 100 paras. Yugoslavia underwent extreme inflation between 1993 and January 1994. The new dinar (second), or "super dinar," introduced on January 24, 1994, was pegged to the German Mark at a rate of one-to-one and equaled 13,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 new dinar. The new dinar had been introduced January 1, 1990, at the rate of 1 new dinar = 10,000 (old) dinars. Currently, 1 Yugoslav new dinar (second) = 100 paras.
